Within the scope of the Vocational and Technical Education Cooperation Protocol between the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the OSTİM Şehit Alper Zor Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, which is paired with OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone (OSB), has started its operations as the OSTİM OSB Vocational Training Center Liaison Office in the OSTİM OSB Regional Directorate building.

The OSTİM OSB Vocational Training Center offers 3 programs:

OSTİM ŞEHİT ALPER ZOR MTAL

The program, which is exclusively for 12th-grade students at OSTİM Şehit Alper Zor Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, will provide skills training two days a week at school and three days a week at the workplace.

OSTIM VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTER

Within the scope of the program, students from OSTİM Vocational Training Center will receive theoretical training at school one day a week and practical skills training at the workplace on the other days.

Vocational Training Course Program

Within the scope of the Vocational Training Course Program, high school graduates and above will receive vocational training courses for 27 weeks, with 10 hours per week at school and 35 hours per week in the workplace.

  1. Why should I choose a Vocational Training Center student/trainee?

Vocational training students/trainees are employed by companies where they receive skills training at a rate of approximately 84% within four years. This is due to their sense of ownership, acceptance of company conditions, viewing their work as a part of their lives, and their belief from the age of 14 that "I can earn money from this profession." This high employment rate offers your companies the opportunity to plan for future employment and invest in personnel for the next four years. Therefore, it should be your top priority.

Furthermore, within the framework of our country's need for a qualified workforce, identifying students'/trainees' interests, desires, abilities, and personality traits, informing them about professions so that they can choose a career in which they can be successful and happy, and strengthening the relationship between the education system and working life are of great importance for the development of our country's human resources.

  1. How much will I pay the student/trainee monthly? 3rd year students: 50% of the minimum wage.

Students in grades 9, 10, and 11 will receive 30% of the minimum wage.

Participants in the Vocational Training Program will be paid 50% of the minimum wage.

The entire amount paid to the student/trainee will be returned to the business each month as a government contribution.

  1. Who will pay the student's/trainee's social security contributions?

General health insurance expenses will be covered by the Ministry of National Education.

  1. Is there an annual paid leave entitlement?

Students are entitled to one month of paid leave and one month of unpaid leave annually. Since the Vocational Training Program lasts six months, trainees do not have the right to annual paid leave.

  1. Do I have the right to terminate the student's/trainee's contract?

You have the right to terminate the contract of students/trainees who do not comply with workplace rules or who you determine are unfit for the profession.

  1. What should I do in case of a workplace accident?

In case of a workplace accident;

To report an occupational accident or disease, simply fill out at least three copies of the Occupational Accident and Disease Reporting Form, Incident Report, Medical Report, and Statement Transcript. Send one copy directly to the Social Security Institution (SGK) and another copy to the school through the coordinating teacher.

  1. How many days a week will the student/trainee receive skills training at my company?
  • Vocational high school 12th grade students will receive skills training for 2 days at school and 3 days at the workplace. - Vocational training center students will receive skills training for 1 day at school and the other days at a workplace. - Vocational training course participants will receive 10 hours of vocational training at school and 35 hours of on-the-job training at the workplace for 27 weeks.
  1. Who can register at the Vocational Training Center?

For vocational high school and vocational training center students:

  • Must have at least a middle school diploma or a high school diploma from an Imam-Hatip school. - Must be physically and mentally fit to perform the duties required by the profession. - Must be a student enrolled in any high school.

For Vocational Training Course Participants:

  • High school graduates and above can apply.

To be eligible for training in the 27 fields and 142 branches covered by Law No. 3308, applicants must have a workshop or workplace that meets the required standards and an instructor with a master instructor certificate. Those who meet these conditions and sign a contract can become apprentice students.

  1. What will be the duration of the student's/trainee's education in years?

The vocational training center provides four years of education for 9th-grade students. In the third year, they are eligible to take the Journeyman Certificate Exam, and in the fourth year, they are eligible to take the Master Craftsman Certificate Exam and receive their school diploma. Furthermore, after graduation, they can take the Master Instructor exam after completing 40 hours of training in Business Pedagogy and passing the exam.

The vocational high school 12th grade students have a 10-month education period.

The training period for vocational training course participants is set at 27 weeks (6 months).

  1. Will the student who is studying be able to obtain a diploma?

Yes. With the new regulation, students of OSTİM Şehit Alper Zor Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School Vocational Training Center will be able to receive a high school diploma.
