EIF 2017, which brings together top executives, decision-makers, opinion leaders, NGO leaders, and academics from the energy sector, is in full swing.

OSTİM Enerjik, one of the supporting institutions of the fair, hosted industry professionals at its A-120 booth and conducted nearly 300 business meetings (B2B) on the second day of the event.

The cluster's stand, which brought together 60 companies, mostly from Gulf countries, with its members, also became a popular destination for public, private sector, and academic representatives.

Stating that they carried out very important work at the fair, Yaşar Çelik, Chairman of the Board of Directors of OSTİM Enerjik, noted that EIF was quite productive for them. Çelik said, “Our stand was the center of attention for representatives from the private sector, public sector, and universities. We have completed our 10th year. We were pleased that SMEs from Ankara and other cities among our visitors wanted to join the OSTİM Enerjik family. This is a noteworthy development in terms of showing how correct our work is. In our meetings with public institutions, public representatives want to see clustering as an interface.”

About OSTİM Enerjik

The Renewable Energy and Environmental Technologies Cluster was identified as a sector of the future, along with its supporting sectors, from four strategic areas determined as a result of the competitive analysis conducted in 2007 in the OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone. It began its activities in 2009 with infrastructure development efforts.

Its aim is to increase the production capabilities, national/international competitiveness, and market share of local manufacturers in OSTİM's renewable energy and environmental technologies sector by creating a facilitating and guiding platform that enhances cooperation and synergy among all stakeholders in the sector, thereby reducing Turkey's dependence on foreign sources in this field and transforming OSTİM into a production center for energy technologies.

The cluster, which received support in the second call period of the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology's Cluster Support Program, will carry out activities focused on 'Product Development, Power Plant Rehabilitation, and Internationalization' with a budget of 24,826,800 TL over 5 years.
