A significant step has been taken in the green transformation and carbon neutrality efforts of the OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone. With the solar power plant project supported by the World Bank, an additional 2 MW of green energy will be provided to OSTİM businesses through power plants to be built in open parking areas. Upon completion of the project, OSTİM's installed renewable energy capacity will reach 5 MW.
Within the scope of the project, the contract for the construction of the solar power plant in the OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone was signed between Göze Enerji and the OSTİM OSB Regional Directorate. The contract was signed by Orhan Aydın, Chairman of the OSTİM OSB Board of Directors, Adem Arıcı, OSTİM OSB Regional Director, and Arda Gökçe, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Göze Enerji. Under the contract, the solar power plants are planned to be commissioned within 2026.
Orhan Aydın, Chairman of the Board of Directors of OSTİM, noting that the company is approaching its 60th anniversary, reminded that the project is one of four projects supported by the World Bank. Aydın stated that the electricity generated from the solar power plants will be used for industrial production, thus benefiting the country.
