Officials from the Azerbaijan SME Agency [Kiçik ve Orta Biznesin İnkişafı Agentliyi (KOB)], established in Azerbaijan to develop and support SMEs, came to Turkey for experience sharing organized by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA). The Azerbaijani delegation also visited OSTİM as part of a technical program prepared by KOSGEB (Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization of Azerbaijan).
Elçin İbrahimov, Vice President of KOB, explained that they have established industrial zones and allocated workplaces in Azerbaijan to support SMEs. Adem Arıcı, Regional Manager of OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone, provided the delegation with information about the zone's structure. Arıcı noted that the Organized Industrial Zone model is beneficial for speeding up the business and processes of industrialists, and described the opportunities and advantages provided to SMEs in OSTİM.
Noting that Azerbaijan is very important for them, OSTİM Board Chairman Orhan Aydın said, "We especially wish for our relationship with industrial zones to be sustainable."
