Behiye Canan Ünlü, Head of the Clustering Department at the General Directorate of R&D Incentives of the Ministry of Industry, and Ministry experts exchanged views on the renewed Clustering Support Program in OSTİM.
At the meeting attended by OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Regional Manager Adem Arıcı, OSTİM Foundation Manager Gülnaz Karaosmanoğlu, representatives of the Anatolian Clusters Cooperation Platform (AKIP), and coordinators of OSTİM Clusters, Hakan Bal, an expert from the Ministry of Industry and Technology, gave a presentation on the updated program.
Bal stated that the program supports four key areas, which he listed as: Institutional Capacity, Factor Conditions, Productivity, and Innovation.
Support rate increased to 70%
Bal also explained the supported expenses, noting that machinery, equipment, software, personnel, office rent, travel, accommodation, customs, transportation, buildings, vehicles, consumables, certified public accountant services, and administrative expenses are all supported.
The experienced expert explained that project support rates have also been increased, stating, "The support rate has been increased from 50% to 70% excluding VAT. An additional 15% support will be provided for the purchase of domestically produced machinery and equipment."
Hakan Bal stated that the project support period is 5 years, adding that it can be extended by another 2 years due to force majeure.
