Construction of the New Campus Has Begun; It Will Be a Model for Turkey.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony for the new campus, Orhan Aydın, Chairman of the OSTİM Board of Directors and Chairman of the OSTİM Technical University Board of Trustees, said, “This model is something new in Turkey. We will see that this ecosystem, which works together with industry as defined by the Higher Education Council, will set an example for Türkiye as well.”

OSTİM Technical University held a joint groundbreaking ceremony and holiday celebration program at its new campus.

Dr. Özgür Tekaslan, Assistant General Secretary of OSTİM Technical University, stated that the first phase will involve the construction of the Faculty of Engineering, noting that the construction area is 20,164 square meters. He added that the 6-story campus will consist of 28 laboratories, 20 classrooms, 60 offices, and 4 lecture halls.

OSTİM Technical University Rector Prof. Dr. Murat Yülek noted the significant progress made in the construction work in a short time and thanked the General Secretariat. Yülek said, “God willing, we hope to be able to move into this building in October. We expect the same speed and efficiency from our General Secretariat. Our goal is to start education in this building in October of the 2025-2026 academic year, while construction continues on one side.”

Orhan Aydın, Chairman of the OSTİM Board of Directors and Chairman of the OSTİM Technical University Board of Trustees, expressed his pleasure at being together at the opening of such a beneficial project on the eve of the holiday.

Providing information about the future of the new campus area, Mayor Aydın emphasized that the construction works will be completed in the short, medium and long term, and that Ankara's most organized university campus will be realized.

Stating that all long journeys begin with the first step, Mayor Aydın said, “By bringing this to life step by step, it will become a beautiful OSTİM campus. As you can see, we are surrounded by industry, housing, and a technopark. At the same time, this model is something new in Turkey. We will see that this ecosystem, which works together with industry as defined by the Higher Education Council, will set an example for Turkey. Happy Eid al-Fitr, I wish you health and well-being.”

Following the speeches, the university's academic and administrative staff and representatives from OSTİM institutions and organizations exchanged holiday greetings. After the holiday greeting program, prayers were offered and a sacrifice was made for the new campus area.
