Aydın noted that the focus should be on the future with strong steps, emphasizing that production and industrialization should be given even more importance and developed at a rapid pace.

Orhan Aydın expressed the following views:

“We have left another election behind in Turkey's democratic history. I hope the results will be beneficial for our country and our nation. In line with the decision of the national will, I congratulate our Mayors and Municipal Council Members who will govern our cities for the next 5 years.”

Having experienced an intense election atmosphere for over three months, our country must now focus on the future with stronger steps and together. We must give even more importance to production and industrialization, which are fundamental dynamics of the economy, and develop them rapidly. The only way out of our current situation is to keep the wheels of domestic and national industry turning without stopping.

Our industrialists are working with all their might to increase employment, develop value-added production, and achieve Turkey's goals.

Our municipalities, while working to improve the quality of life for our citizens, also undertake significant responsibilities in developing the real sector. As we have frequently emphasized institutionally, local governments should prioritize 'domestic production' in their investments and procurement.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality has nearly 50 sister cities. The potential of our capital city can be matched with the needs of these cities. All successful services of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality and district municipalities—infrastructure, roads, sewage systems, environmental planning, city planning, social projects, education, transportation, development projects, and the companies implementing them—can be brought together with sister cities under the auspices of the Municipality. The products of Ankara's Organized Industrial Zones and companies can also be marketed.

Our clusters can develop collaborations. Technology produced in Ankara's 7 technoparks can be transferred, and the educational opportunities of 21 universities, as well as the services provided by thermal facilities and hospitals, can be offered to sister cities.

All of these can be transformed into a team; it is possible to create a collaboration platform and it would greatly contribute to the economic potential of the Ankara ecosystem.

I believe that the March 31, 2019 Local Elections will give impetus to the ideal of a strong Türkiye, and I once again congratulate the elected esteemed individuals on their service to our country and nation.
