The OSTİM Digital Store information meeting was held at the OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Regional Directorate with the participation of companies. OSTİM Chairman of the Board Orhan Aydın emphasized the importance of e-commerce and exports and invited companies to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the OSTİM Digital Store.
“We want all the companies in OSTİM to be in the store”
OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Regional Manager Adem Arıcı stated that they have implemented various projects aimed at increasing exports. Arıcı said, "We have a Foreign Trade Coordination Office. We are also carrying out projects to improve exports in our clusters."
Arıcı stated that they launched the Digital Store to enable companies to sell their products on e-commerce platforms and thus reach every corner of the world, adding, "We want all companies in OSTİM to be in the store. Because in this store, companies will be able to sell their products to all countries in the world, including end users, and increase their exports."
Traditional and e-export merged in the Digital Store
OSTİM Foreign Trade Coordinator Esma Akyüz emphasized that e-commerce and e-export are among the important topics in the new world. Akyüz stated that within the scope of the project, they aim to lead industrialists in their export processes.
Esma Akyüz stated that Alimar Generator, one of the store's first members, made its first export to Mozambique, adding, "These developments make us proud. We will see more examples like this soon. With the participation of more companies, our store will grow and strengthen, and perhaps we will be able to create one of the world's largest marketplaces as OSTİM."
Akyüz noted that they combined traditional and e-export with the Digital Store Project, stating that they could instantly reach previously inaccessible markets thanks to e-export, and that they also supported store members in traditional export operations by using commercial intelligence channels. Esma Akyüz said: “Our technical team, which provides services in 5 languages, receives photographs from companies, and conducts keyword and advertising campaigns. The goal is to enable companies that have never exported before to start exporting, and to increase the number of markets for companies that already export.”
Akyüz stated that they plan to open the store to all companies throughout Türkiye. She added that discussions with the Ministry of Trade are ongoing to develop the project, and emphasized that they are benefiting from new generation export support programs.
Levent Açıksöz, a Foreign Trade Specialist and the technical solutions partner of OSTİM Digital Store, also explained the opportunities offered to companies that become members of the store. Noting that they provide translation support in 5 languages and develop solutions to connect companies with the right customers, Açıksöz stated that OSTİM Digital Store will provide significant benefits to every company, whether they have previously exported or not.
“We seized the opportunity to reach the end user”
Onur Arık, the International Sales and Marketing Director of Alimar Generator, which made its first export to Mozambique within the scope of the project, pointed out that they were involved in the project from the very beginning and said, "This allows us to easily reach end-users anywhere in the world with whom we have not had contact before. Thanks to the OSTİM Digital Store, we had the opportunity to reach an end-user in a village in Mozambique."
