The first training session of the Industrial Competence Assessment Project (EYDEP), initiated by the Undersecretariat of Defence Industry (SSM) to enable companies operating within the industry to become qualified suppliers to the defence sector, to conduct situation analyses and to create development plans, took place in OSTİM.
The training, hosted by the Ostim Defense and Aerospace Cluster (OSSA) at the OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Directorate Conference Hall, is organized by the Undersecretariat of Defense Industries (SSM). Participants include employees from the Turkish Ministry of National Defense, foundation companies, relevant clusters and associations, and industrialists.
The project aims to evaluate defense, aviation, and space companies and enable these companies to secure a higher-quality share in defense sector projects.
Thanks to EYDEP, new investments, incentive models, and technological development strategies can be designed and implemented more easily. During the project process, the main contractors in the defense industry and the relevant personnel of SSM will be trained and will serve as auditors.
AS9100 Rev. D Training
OSSA informs its member companies about revisions to quality standards and responds to training and consultancy requests from these companies.
The cluster organized a training program aimed at helping companies in the aviation sector obtain the mandatory AS 9100 standard, which is required to meet international aviation and aerospace industry standards.
A three-day training program was provided, focusing first on ISO 9001:2015 and then on AS9100 Rev. D standards, which are of great importance for the safety, reliability, and legal requirements of industry products.
