“Production is indispensable”
OSTİM Board Chairman Orhan Aydın pointed out that the office of mayor carries a great burden and responsibility. Stating that mayors have important duties in solving the problems of the city, Aydın said, “If you find solutions to the problems, there is a great reward. If you cannot find solutions, you will face serious consequences.”
Emphasizing the importance of industry and production, Aydın conveyed the following messages: “Production is indispensable. It is impossible to solve problems without production. We need to produce. We need to produce for our own needs and then for the needs of others. We need to cooperate. Many of the problems we face in the world are due to things we haven't done before.”
“We are always on the production side”
Mehmet Şahin, the Felicity Party's mayoral candidate for Yenimahalle, stated that industrialists are struggling due to high interest rates. Emphasizing that interest exploits the producers' hard work, Şahin said, “An economy with high interest rates can never produce. As representatives of the National Vision movement, we have always sided with production. We have always strived to develop production and heavy industry projects and have worked in this direction. If we are given the opportunity, we will revive these policies.”
“This is the heart of industry, the center of the world”
Cemal Sertkaya, the Felicity Party's mayoral candidate for Altındağ, highlighted the importance of OSTİM, stating, "This is the very heart of industry, the center of the world. We come from Altındağ. And in Altındağ, when you talk about industry, there are a few important places; the Siteler furniture manufacturing industrial zone is at the forefront. Previously, Yeni Sanayi, Ata Sanayi, Büyük Sanayi – all the industries were in Altındağ. A large portion of them have moved to OSTİM."
“We need to talk about our problems”
Mesut Doğan, the Felicity Party's candidate for Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor, stated that the problems of industry and production should be discussed in politics.
In Ankara, Doğan emphasized that the root causes of problems must be eliminated to solve them, and stated that if they win the election, they will serve within the framework of nine principles. Doğan listed the principles as follows: “We will be fair and compassionate in our administration. We will be planned and organized. We will be transparent and accountable. We will not engage in partisanship or discrimination. We will entrust the work to those who are qualified. Our doors will be open to everyone. We will distribute services equally. We will not make things difficult. We will not tolerate waste and corruption.”
Speaking about the projects they will undertake for Ankara, Doğan said, “We will ensure that everyone feels safe 24 hours a day. Ankara will be a human-friendly capital city where daily life is affordable, human life is valued, it is green and livable, everyone can access all kinds of services in their own area, and it will be based on a participatory management approach, planned urbanization, and local development.”
