The OSTİM delegation, having completed its contacts in Uzbekistan as part of the Central Asia Program, moved on to Kyrgyzstan. The delegation's first stop in the country was the Ministry of Investment Promotion and Protection of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The OSTİM delegation met with Nuradil Bayasov, Acting Minister of Investment Promotion and Protection of the Kyrgyz Republic, ministry officials, and business people to discuss opportunities for mutual cooperation in industry and education.
“We are ready to share our resources”
Orhan Aydın, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of OSTİM Technical University and Chairman of the Board of Directors of OSTİM, expressed his pleasure at being in Kyrgyzstan and thanked the Deputy Minister and the bureaucrats.
Suggesting that visits should be intensified to further develop relations between the two countries, Aydın stated that OSTİM is a small model of Turkey and continued: “We must improve our economic relations. We are at your service to share our resources with you. We believe that we have much to learn from you as well. Let's create and develop a sustainable structure. In this way, we can direct industrialists and investors here. As OSTİM, with our university, Organized Industrial Zone, technopark and clusters, we are the most dynamic ecosystem in Türkiye.”
“Let’s establish the OSTİM model”
Deputy Minister Nuradil Bayasov provided information about investment advantages in his country. Highlighting Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov's commitment to increasing international investments, Bayasov stated, “Let's establish the OSTİM model here. Our President wants to increase investments. Therefore, legal regulations have been amended to facilitate the work of investors. The 6,300 companies in OSTİM is a very large number. It is very important for these companies to invest in Kyrgyzstan. There is the possibility of accessing a market of 180 million people. We are ready to develop bilateral relations.”
OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Regional Manager Adem Arıcı reminded everyone of the protocols signed in June with the Ministry of Investment Promotion and Protection of the Kyrgyz Republic and other institutions. Arıcı said, “We are ready to share our institutional experience. We must implement the protocols we signed with Kyrgyz institutions as soon as possible.”

OSTİM Technical University Rector Prof. Dr. Murat Yülek expressed the closeness they feel towards Kyrgyzstan, saying, "We do not see this as a separate country."
Yülek emphasized that OSTİM Technical University is the only industrial university in the world founded by industrial companies, and stated: “Our campus consists of more than 6,000 factories. Our academics work closely with industry. We have produced numerous products. We want to share this experience with our sister universities here. We have agreements with universities in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan regarding dual degree programs. Our original English preparatory books are used in Azerbaijan; we would like them to be used in Kyrgyzstan as well.”
Within the scope of the program, a cooperation protocol was signed between OSTİM Technical University and the State Academy of Administration, the National Academy of Sciences Institute of Machinery and Automation, and the Ishak Razagov State Technical University.
