The 2021 Ordinary General Assembly Meeting of OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone was held in the OSTİM OSB Conference Hall.

Speaking at the opening of the General Assembly, chaired by OSTİM OSB Deputy Chairman Sıtkı Öztuna and with ATİSAN Cooperative delegate Remzi Gedikoğlu as a member of the Board, OSTİM Chairman Orhan Aydın stated that OSTİM is known as a supply center and is seen as a problem-solving and technology center in Turkey and in many parts of the world.

OSTİM has exceeded its limits

Aydın explained that their activities were not limited to OSTİM, saying: “We have gone beyond the boundaries of OSTİM with clusters and Ostim Technopark Inc. Our 7 clusters, formed by companies coming together in the fields of construction and industrial machinery, defense and aerospace, medical, energy, rubber technologies, rail systems and communication technologies, cater to OSTİM in some areas, Ankara in others, Central Anatolia in others, and Turkey in general.”

Stating that they are able to closely monitor the problems of Turkish industry with every company and cluster, Orhan Aydın said, “We can keep our finger on the pulse of Türkiye's industry. Because of this structure, we also attract the attention of the public.”

Aydın noted that they have received requests from abroad to establish OSTİM-style facilities, saying, “To date, we have been in contact with 22 countries. We have shared information and experience regarding the OSTİM model with these countries. With our Central Asia program in 2021, we brought together the activities of OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone, OSTİM Technical University, and OSTİM Technopark with our sister countries. In our program covering Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan, we made cooperation agreements.”

“Our priority is our clients”

Chairman Orhan Aydın, pointing out that their top priority as OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone is the companies, said that they consider serving them as an act of worship. Stating that they strive to do everything to the fullest extent to increase the competitiveness of companies, Aydın said: “Whatever the world is going through, whatever it is talking about, we are discussing it here in OSTİM. We cannot lag behind. We are interested in the metaverse, climate change, and digitalization, and we are trying to continue and increase this interest. We are running a project related to digitalization. We aim to make OSTİM a technologically advanced region.”
