“We are one of the most active regions in collaborating with universities”
After receiving the award, Orhan Aydın shared his thoughts: “My excitement increased upon receiving this award. I would like to thank the committee that deemed me worthy of this award. We are very pleased to have been part of such a group since the establishment of ÜSİMP. At this stage, as an industrial stakeholder, we have learned a great deal from here. I want to say that many of the works we have done in OSTİM are based on what we have learned and shared with ÜSİMP. We also take on the tasks we couldn't accomplish here as our responsibility. This also increases our sense of responsibility. Hopefully, we will do even better things with this motivation. We are one of the most active regions in terms of cooperation with universities. We have established our technopark together with 7 universities in Ankara. We truly believe in this. Producing knowledge is not enough; sharing it with industry, producers, and users becomes the most important issue. We are trying to bring this to our region, our companies, and our country. I will work even harder from now on.”
The program also included the presentation of the Commemorative Award to Selahattin Şanbaşoğlu and Prof. Dr. Demir İnan, the Distinguished Service Award to writer Orhan Bursalı, and the New Technology Development and Commercialization Award to Prof. Dr. Aytül Erçil.
