Established to support SMEs
Providing information about OSTİM Yatırım A.Ş. and the Fund, General Manager Abdullah Çörtü stated: “We are developing projects that increase the added value, competitiveness, and business volume of our SMEs, primarily in OSTİM. We always keep in mind that we are a mission-driven company. We act with this understanding. As OSTİM Yatırım, we manage real estate, we export, and we carry out various turnkey projects domestically and internationally. We establish facilities, and we also manage subsidiaries and affiliates that manufacture and provide services in many different sectors. Our Board of Directors decided to establish a Venture Capital Investment Fund, a relatively new model that differs slightly from classic models, to support SMEs; and to cooperate with Albaraka Portfolio Management A.Ş., a company specializing in this field and which has previously grown and managed many funds.”

Emin Özel, General Manager of Albaraka Portfolio Inc., emphasized that the company has 16 Venture Capital Investment Funds, and that the one that excites them the most is the OSTİM Venture Capital Investment Fund. The fund aims to make significant contributions to the national economy by bringing together all stakeholders of the OSTİM ecosystem, including 6,500 companies, clusters, OSTİM Technical University, OSTİM Technopark, and OSTİM's integrator organizations.
OSTİM GSYF will invest in companies with growth and value-added potential. The fund will also support technology companies operating in the digital transformation of SMEs, aiming to strengthen the competitiveness of SMEs in the OSTİM ecosystem through new technologies. OSTİM GSYF is open to all qualified investors who wish to participate in this potential.
Focusing on technology-intensive companies, the fund will leverage the strength of OSTİM's ecosystem to support technology companies that contribute to the digital transformation of SMEs, while also supporting SMEs within the OSTİM ecosystem in adapting to the new era through the ventures it invests in. Furthermore, by bringing together all parties of the end-to-end ecosystem with the presence and expertise of the Technical University, technopark, clusters, and other integrator organizations operating in OSTİM, the fund is expected to make a significant contribution to the national economy.
The fund is open to all qualified investors and welcomes all investors who wish to participate in this potential. The fund, which can be joined by both institutional and individual qualified investors, serves as an alternative investment vehicle for companies operating in technology development zones and R&D and design centers to fulfill their investment obligations under the exemption granted by Law No. 7263, in addition to the tax advantages it provides.
