Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Ankara, Victor Rybak, and accompanying executives from the Grodno Free Economic Zone visited OSTİM.
The Belarusian delegation met with OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Chairman Orhan Aydın and cluster managers to exchange views on cooperation opportunities to increase trade volume and investments between Türkiye and Belarus.
Ambassador Victor Rybak, noting that the trade volume between the two countries increased to $1.9 billion in 2023, said, “At the summit held in Astana, Kazakhstan, our Presidents set a target of $3 billion for the trade volume between the two countries. We would very much like to see business people from OSTİM in the Grodno Free Economic Zone and other cities. We will provide all the support we can to Turkish companies to facilitate these collaborations.”
OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Chairman Orhan Aydın emphasized the goal of increasing the trade volume between Belarus and Turkey to $3 billion, stating, “We are ready to do whatever is necessary to fill these collaborations with substance. As OSTİM, we are the right solution partner in this regard. For the good of the world, cooperation between Turkey and Belarus is needed, and OSTİM is needed for the development of this cooperation. We will introduce the opportunities in the Grodno Free Economic Zone to our clusters. Furthermore, as OSTİM, we would like to develop our cooperation with a technopark and a university in Belarus. In this way, we can also be an important interface in technology transfer between the two countries.”
OSTİM OSB Regional Manager Adem Arıcı informed the delegation about the Uzbek-Turkish Organized Industrial Zone built in Uzbekistan by OSTİM Global Turkish Classification Board, and stated that they are ready to implement similar projects in Belarus.
Esma Akyüz, OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Foreign Trade Coordinator, provided information about OSTİM's activities and potential collaboration opportunities.
The delegation was accompanied by Dmitry Rozhkov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Grodno Free Economic Zone, Ruslan Kizelevich, Vice Chairman, Vladimir Tkachik, Commercial Attaché of the Belarusian Embassy, and Ilya Kapitan, Counselor.
