In OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone, which has set an example in our country with its sustainable and innovative approaches, the electric vehicle charging stations have been put into operation.
In collaboration with Astor Enerji A.Ş., 15 charging stations have been installed at 6 locations; 12 of these are AC charging stations, and 3 are DC stations that allow for faster charging. Two of the stations in OSTİM OSB will be covered and will also function as Solar Power Plants (SPPs).
Charging cost is cheaper compared to others.
Providing information about the charging stations, OSTİM OSB Regional Manager Adem Arıcı said, “Our aim is to meet the charging station needs of electric vehicles belonging to industrialists and employees in our region. Since we are located in the city center, we have completed our work on the stations so that other users can also benefit from them.”
Stating that the management center they serve for industrialists was built with green building features, Arıcı made the following assessment: “We planned our building according to LEED criteria in 2008. We also considered a charging station inside; with this application, we have completed a very important part of it. Electric charging stations will also generate energy from solar panels, and the electricity needed for charging will be provided by the sun. We will provide this service to both our industrialists and all electric vehicle users in Ankara. The electricity unit prices of OSTİM charging stations will be more affordable than the electricity unit prices of charging stations outside OSTİM. I invite all electric vehicle users to charge their vehicles at the locations in OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone.”
OSTİM's first TOGG (Tokyo-Gas Vehicle) made its first charge at the station in OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone.
OSTİM industrialist Fatih Akan, who made his first charge of the TOGG vehicle at the station set up in front of the OSTİM OSB Regional Directorate, stated that he was proud of TOGG and that he would charge his vehicle at the stations in OSTİM OSB.
Akan continued: “We brought TOGG, Turkey's domestic and national car, to OSTİM. I previously owned a foreign-brand car. I sold it and bought a TOGG. Let it be national, let it be ours; we have embraced this car. For example, you can't say 'it's our car' about a brand X, but for TOGG, we say 'it's our car,' we embrace it. It will have shortcomings, but we must stand behind our vehicle with patience and faith. It requires effort. I wholeheartedly believe that it will reach an even better level over time, as long as it is national. I am proud to drive TOGG. I thank everyone involved and recommend TOGG to those who want to buy a car.”
Fatih Akan stated that the installation of vehicle charging stations in OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone was a very important and sound decision, saying, “The OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Management has been very helpful to us. They took a quick step towards innovation and installed charging stations in our region. I congratulate them. As OSTİM industrialists, we will be able to easily charge our electric vehicles here. We are very happy. We would like to thank everyone who contributed to this service.”
