The OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Directorate's 2021 Consultation Meeting was held online with the participation of over 260 invitees.
Speaking at the opening of the meeting, where stakeholder expectations were gathered and 2020 activities and 2021 targets were discussed, OSTİM Board Chairman Orhan Aydın noted that OSTİM is a region that operates in close contact with its stakeholders.
“We strive to contribute to humanity”
Aydın stated the following: “We want to expand these studies by being in contact with companies, clusters, and ecosystems in our region, as well as with everyone in different provinces of Turkey who want to be inspired by our work and bring it to their region.”
As OSTİM, we hold a significant place in the industrialization of Ankara. We have pioneered in many areas. We consider it our duty to offer our experience not only for ourselves but also to other regions. We may have shortcomings, and we ask for your support to address them. We strive to contribute to our region, our country, our companies, and humanity in an environmentally conscious and people-oriented manner.
2021 is a new year, a new beginning for all of us. The pandemic disrupted our routines; and sometimes it also helped us to adjust them. We encountered some unexpected events. We experienced these as reflections of certain problems on Earth; as the consequences of the damage we have inflicted on nature. I hope that 2021 will be a more careful year for the world, a year of respect for the environment and living beings.
I would like to thank our Board of Directors, our OSB Regional Director Mr. Adem Arıcı, the managers and employees of our OSB units, our OSTİM Foundation, our clusters, Ostim Technopark, our Cooperative, and all stakeholders bearing the OSTİM name.
The establishment of OSTİM Technical University is important for us. I would like to thank our university, especially our Rector Prof. Dr. Murat Yülek, our academics, and our staff. Our expectation from them is that they will demonstrate exemplary effort with our industrialists and companies, and conduct studies that will increase the involvement of other universities with industry.
Our university has 468 international students from 44 countries. Despite being a relatively new university in Ankara, this level of interest is a result of OSTİM's synergy and ecosystem.
I believe that in the future, our university and region will be of higher quality, and our companies will strive to prepare for the future.”
