Stating that they aim to commercialize products developed at the university by taking advantage of these opportunities, Aşık shared the following views: “We have started working with all stakeholders in Ankara to develop the medical sector. If all goes well, we will continue and develop with the support of the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology. We expect our industrialists to be more supportive in undertaking joint projects.”
“OSTİM is the backbone of industry”
Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Rector Metin Doğan stated that they have been striving to cooperate with industrialists from the very beginning. Doğan said, “We are making efforts to cooperate with our industrialists. Mr. Orhan Aydın is one of the doyens of Turkish industry. OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone is perhaps the backbone of industry in Turkey, a center that has produced many great industrialists. It is a kind of cultural environment that nurtures industrialists. As a university, we have always maintained close relations. We will continue to do so in the future. Today, we held a consultation meeting on some common issues.”
Metin Doğan stated, “OSTİM is the apple of Turkey's eye. We hope it will also become the apple of the world's eye. Hopefully, it is rapidly progressing in that direction. As a university, we will provide all the cooperation and support we can.”
