OSTiMTECH has begun the registration process for its first students. The university, having reached full capacity in its undergraduate programs, is delighted to welcome its first cohort of students.
The first student to enroll in the Bachelor's Program, Burak Türkay, and the first student to enroll in the Associate Degree Program, Sümeyye Köse, were presented with flowers by Orhan Aydın, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of OSTİM Technical University. Aydın wished the students success.
The registration process, which began today, will continue until Friday, August 23rd.
“Our students are a precious asset entrusted to our care by our country.”
Orhan Aydın, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of OSTİM Technical University, expressed his pleasure at welcoming the university's first students.
Aydın shared the following views: “What is pleasing is that, given OSTİM's long history, this university education project seems to have paid off. Thanks to people who know OSTİM, who know us, and who value our board of trustees, we have encountered significant demand. We seem to have largely filled our quotas.”
Experiencing the excitement of this first day is truly important to us. We are excited too. There is a message here that increases our responsibility. People are saying, "We trusted OSTİM, we trusted you, we chose you." Just as OSTİM has stood behind its projects until now, it will hopefully stand behind its university as well.
We believe we will make a great start for our country, for our region, and for humanity. Our Board of Trustees and our professors believe this as well. We absolutely do not consider our students as customers who have registered and are paying to study. We see them as a valuable asset entrusted to us by our country. We will do everything in our power to support our students in their development and in shaping the future of our nation.
We believe that OSTİM, its industrialists, and Ankara's industry have more than enough strength and experience to achieve this.
We have a responsibility to train our students to be people who, after graduation, can pursue their own careers and do their jobs well.
"We can produce new minds from OSTİM Technical University that will change the destiny of the country. We can produce new models. This has been a test for us. We pray to God Almighty to help us pass this test successfully. I believe that we will succeed with flying colors."
“I believe I can achieve my goals”
Burak Türkay, the first student to enroll in the undergraduate program, was accepted into the International Trade and Finance Department of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. Stating that he very much wanted to get into OSTİM Technical University, Türkay said, “I researched the job opportunities and found that it offered more opportunities. It was my third choice, and I really wanted to come here. I believe I can achieve my goals at OSTİM Technical University. I wish continued success to everyone who came to the university with me.”
Burak Türkay's mother, Saadet Türkay, also expressed her satisfaction with her son's acceptance to OSTİM Technical University. She said, "I'm truly very happy. Being the first student of such a university is a source of pride for us. We woke up early and rushed here. We have a connection to OSTİM; my husband's workplace is in OSTİM. We knew about the university."
“I was very happy when we won”
Sümeyye Köse, who was accepted into the Digital Media and Marketing Department of OSTİM Technical University Vocational School, became the first student to register in the associate degree programs.
Köse stated that she chose the university because of its scholarship opportunities and its connection to the business world, saying, “I chose it on the recommendation of a family member. I didn't expect to get in. I was very happy when I did. When I graduate, I want to work in a public institution.”
Sümeyye Köse's mother, Belgin Köse, also expressed her feelings as follows: "I am sure that she will be able to find good job opportunities when she graduates from OSTİM Technical University. There are internship opportunities here. Since it is a university established with the support of businessmen, we thought that she would not have any problems in terms of employment in the future, and we made our choice accordingly."
“I am very confident about the future of our university”
Ertuğrul Bölükbaşı, the father of Yusuf Enes Bölükbaşı, who is studying Computer Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, also expressed his happiness that his son was accepted to OSTİM Technical University.
Ertuğrul Bölükbaşı, who lives in Yozgat and stated that he has been following OSTİM Technical University for a long time, said, "Because I could foresee what OSTİM Technical University could achieve in the future, I said, 'I hope my child gets accepted here.' He listed the Computer Engineering Department of OSTİM Technical University as his first choice and got accepted."
"I am very confident about the future of our university. With God's permission, I am sure that our President and our professors will do this job in the best way possible. We entrust all our children to them," he shared his views.
“We’re so glad we chose it”
Student's parent Mehmet Yeniyıl expressed his satisfaction that his child was accepted into the Electrical-Electronics Engineering Department of the Faculty of Engineering. Father Yeniyıl said, "We're so glad we chose this program. The fact that the education is in English is an advantage for our child. The opportunity to receive practical industrial training while at university was what attracted us. I want our child to become an engineer who knows what to do when he graduates."
First he promoted it, then he won.
Selinsu Yiğit, who worked at OSTİM Technical University's promotional and admissions days, is one of the students who joined the OSTiMTECH family.
Yiğit, who stated that he had the opportunity to get to know OSTİM closely during his work period, won a place in the Logistics Department of the Vocational School. The successful student expressed his feelings as follows: "First of all, I got to know the university myself as part of the university's promotional team, and then I introduced our university to hundreds of families."
I had the opportunity to communicate directly with our professors. I got to know OSTİM. It piqued my interest. I thought, why not? I saw that we had many professors who could provide references, and I decided to choose it. I was really happy when I learned that I got accepted.”
Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün, Chairman and General Manager of ASELSAN and a member of the Board of Trustees of OSTİM Technical University, also visited OSTiMTECH on the first day of registration and chatted with the students and their families who came to register. Expressing that the students had made the right choice, Görgün extended his best wishes to the parents and students.
