The OSTİM Turkish Classical Music Choir, under the direction of Özgür Ahmet Şarman, consists of employees, managers, and businesspeople from OSTİM. In its second concert, the choir delighted attendees by performing 28 beautiful pieces of Turkish classical music, both solo and as a choir.
“Other clubs have started to take us as an example”
Murat Kandazoğlu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of OSTİMSPOR Club, emphasized that culture and art are an inseparable whole. Explaining that other sports clubs in Ankara have also begun to attach importance to cultural and artistic events, Kandazoğlu said, “We have seen that not only OSTİMSPOR Club, not only within the OSTİM community, but many sports clubs have started to take this as an example. Because, as we always say; people who engage in art and sports are always well-intentioned. They never think evil thoughts and always think positively. We will continue these organizations, which we have organized with the contributions of our OSTİM Board Chairman, Mr. Orhan Aydın, and the board of directors.”
At the concert, OSTİM Board Chairman Orhan Aydın performed "Ağlatırsa mevlam yine gülrür," a piece composed by Erol Sayan with lyrics by Yunus Emre. OSTİM Board member Mithat Ertuğ also performed "Her mevsim içinde gelir geçersin," a piece composed by Semahat Özdenses with lyrics by Hüseyin Yurdabak.
At the end of the evening, plaques were presented to the individuals and organizations who contributed to the choir's work and supported the concert.
