OSİAD's 32nd Ordinary General Assembly Meeting was held in the OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Conference Hall.
The General Assembly was attended by Yenimahalle Mayor Fethi Yaşar, Ankara Chamber of Industry President Seyit Ardıç, Ankara Chamber of Commerce President Gürsel Baran, OSTİM Board Chairman Orhan Aydın, OSTİM Board Vice Chairman Sıtkı Öztuna, OSTİM Technical University Rector Prof. Dr. Murat Yülek, Anadolu Organized Industrial Zone Board Chairman Hüseyin Kutsi Tuncay, OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Regional Manager Adem Arıcı, OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone External Relations Coordinator Hamza Akca, parliamentary candidates, and industrialists.
“Local and national production comes through manufacturing”
OSİAD Board Chairman Süleyman Ekinci emphasized that OSTİM has become a brand, saying, "I would like to thank our Chairman Orhan Aydın for making OSTİM a brand."
Ekinci stated that development and progress depend on production, adding, "Our understanding of local and national identity stems from production. For us, local and national identity means protecting our own resources."
Speaking in a hall where parliamentary candidates were also present, Ekinci expressed his expectations from politics, saying, "As we head towards the election, we expect politicians to create a ministry for SMEs, which represent 98% of our country's economy."
“We are working to increase the competitiveness of SMEs”
OSTİM Board Chairman Orhan Aydın explained the work they are doing for the development of OSTİM businesses. Aydın said, "To increase the competitiveness of OSTİM SMEs, we are implementing the clustering model, which is also used in developed countries around the world, in our region."
Aydın, reminding everyone of the importance our history and civilization have given to production, drew attention to the importance of civil society organizations and wished OSİAD success in its endeavors.
“The OSTİM model is something to be proud of”
İYİ Party Spokesperson Kürşat Zorlu stated that he witnessed OSTİM serving as a model in the Turkic world. Zorlu said, “I heard about it from presidents and I was proud. Canseyit Tüymabayev, who also served as the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Ankara, brought the OSTİM model to his country, which is commendable. Whether it's railway production, OSTİM is here; whether it's the defense industry, OSTİM is here.”
“OSTİM is wherever it is needed”
Ankara Chamber of Commerce (ATO) Board Chairman Gürsel Baran: “OSTİM is very valuable for both our country and our city. OSTİM has reached very important levels with our Chairman Orhan.”

OSTİM Technical University Rector Prof. Dr. Murat Yülek said, "We are at the service of OSTİM and Turkish industrialists." Yülek emphasized that OSTİM Technical University is the only university in the world founded by industrialists.
“We must pave the way for producers”
Yenimahalle Mayor Fethi Yaşar said, "We must support and pave the way for those who produce."
Yaşar emphasized that civil society organizations strengthen democracy by criticizing the mistakes of governments and applauding their successes.
Süleyman Ekinci, who received a vote of confidence in the election held at the General Assembly, was re-elected as the President of OSİAD. The new Board of Directors of OSİAD consists of the following names; Esar Hisarcıklılar, Tayfun Angın, Ayşe Saraçoğlu, Ekrem Soylu, Ahmet Erbasan, Tamer Tuğlu, Muzaffer Bilgin, Begüm Beyazkılıç, Onur Öztuna, and Mert Taş.
