Students from OSTİM OSB Technical College won first place in the Cyber Competition in Azerbaijan.

The "Cyber Summer School 2025," organized by the Azerbaijan Association of Cyber Security Organizations, was held from July 21-26, 2025.

The six-day summer school for high school and university students included intensive training sessions, hands-on exercises, meetings with experts, master classes, and a cyber-competition based on a real-life scenario called "Capture the Flag" every day. Training was conducted in two languages: Azerbaijani and English. Students were divided into Red Team and Blue Team formats and worked on different scenarios.

Alkın Özcan, a student in the Information Technology/Software Development Department at OSTİM OSB Technical College, and his team successfully analyzed and identified vulnerabilities in a target system during a real-world scenario-based penetration testing competition called "Capture the Flag." Using the information they gathered, they managed to infiltrate the system in the shortest time among 160 participants (40 teams), securing first place.
