Prioritizing vocational training is government policy

The Sudanese diplomat stated, “We want our young people to choose vocational training. We have a Vocational Training Center; we want to utilize OSTİM's institutional experience to make it more functional. Our government policy prioritizes vocational training. It is essential that we focus on industry and vocational education. There are two technical universities in Sudan. These institutions can enter into cooperation and sister city agreements with OSTİM Technical University. We are very grateful to TİKA. Our country provides support in many areas. We also expect support from OSTİM in the fields of industrialization and vocational training.” Afaf Mohamed Mohamdani Hamid also invited OSTİM businesspeople to the 40th International Khartoum 2023 Fair, which will be held in Khartoum, the capital of Sudan, between January 24-31, 2023.

“We are ready to contribute with all our institutions”

OSTİM Chairman Orhan Aydın highlighted the strong bonds of friendship with the brotherly country of Sudan. Speaking about OSTİM's work regarding the requests made to them institutionally, Aydın said, “In our region, we have a Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, a Vocational Training Center, a Technical Sciences Vocational College, a Vocational and Technical Education Center, OSTİM Technical University, and a Technical College. Along with formal education, we bring together job seekers and employers through vocational training courses within the framework of certificate programs. On the other hand, it is essential to develop the entrepreneurial spirit of those living in Sudan. Sudan is precious to us. If there is anything we can do for you, we are ready to contribute with all our institutions.”
