‘From Sweat of the Brow to the Strings of the Heart’ second concert
The OSTİM Turkish Folk Music Choir, founded by OSTİMSPOR and which received great acclaim with its first concert last year, was once again met with a standing ovation for its performance this year. The concert, performed in two parts, featured a whirlwind of folk songs from a wide repertoire spanning from the Balkans to the Aegean and Eastern Anatolia.
The program, held at the METEM Hall in OSTİM, attracted great interest. The choir, composed of employers, managers, employees, and people from various professions in and around OSTİM, shared beautiful melodies from Anatolia with the audience.
Accompanied by master instrumentalists, the soloists presented 32 valuable pieces. The concert delighted the ears of the 450 guests who filled the hall.
OSTİMSPOR President Murat Kandazoğlu stated that the club will continue to undertake such projects in the future. Kandazoğlu said, “When we say sports club, people shouldn't only think of football matches or other competitions. We will get involved in different activities in the arts. We want to present OSTİM employees with beautiful projects in the future as well.”
During the evening, plaques were presented to the individuals and organizations who contributed to and supported the concert.
The program concluded with everyone singing along to the songs ‘Yıldız Akşamdan Doğarsın’ and ‘Bağlamam Perde Perde’.
