The pace of nationalization in the railway sector will accelerate.

Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Osman Boyraz, who met with the management of the Anatolian Rail Transportation Systems Cluster (ARUS), emphasized that they are giving priority to the railway sector in the transportation investment program, and stated, “With the strong will shown by our President, we will write a success story in the rail systems sector, just as we did in the defense industry. I congratulate ARUS for its success in domestic and national production in the rail systems sector. We will increase the momentum of this success story.”

Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Osman Boyraz met with ARUS management at an event hosted by OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone.

The meeting, which brought together stakeholders of the rail systems sector, was attended by OSTİM OSB Board Chairman Orhan Aydın, TCDD Deputy General Manager and ARUS Board Vice Chairman Turgay Gökdemir, TÜRASAŞ General Manager Mustafa Metin Yazar, Deputy General Managers İrfan İpşir and Yusuf Aldemir, TCDD Transportation Inc. General Manager Ufuk Yalçın, and board members from Aselsan, TÜBİTAK RUTE, and ARUS.

ARUS Coordinator Dr. İlhami Pektaş highlighted the importance of clustering in the rail systems sector and provided information about the national brands that have been brought to Turkey in rail systems through clustering.

ARUS Board Members shared their views and requests regarding production, R&D, export, standardization, and localization with Deputy Minister Boyraz.

Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Osman Boyraz conveyed the greetings of Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu to ARUS members. Boyraz stated that the Ministry prioritizes rail systems and railways in its transportation investment program.

Boyraz emphasized that Turkey should have a say in the railway sector, stating, “As the government, we support the self-confidence of the people of Anatolia who believe ‘I can do this.’ We believe that our nation can achieve anything when given support. With the strong will demonstrated by our President, we will write a success story in the rail systems sector, just as we did in the defense industry. See our Ministry not as a supplier, but as your stakeholder. I congratulate ARUS for its success in domestic and national production in the rail systems sector. We will accelerate the momentum of this success story.”
