Ambassador Mironko, seeking cooperation in his country's development efforts, visited OSTİM to learn about the OSTİM model, which is in demand by many countries in the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia.
OSTİM Chairman Orhan Aydın, OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Regional Manager Adem Arıcı, and cluster coordinators briefed the visiting diplomat on collaboration opportunities.
“Africa is the apple of Turkey's eye”
OSTİM Chairman Orhan Aydın made assessments about OSTİM's development processes. Aydın stated, "OSTİM has experienced all the processes related to the development of a city. We are ready to cooperate with Rwanda on this matter as well."
Orhan Aydın, reminding that OSTİM stands for Middle East Trade and Industry Center, said, “This defines our mission. We are in contact with Morocco, Tunisia, Nigeria, Yemen, Sudan, South Africa, Egypt, Somalia, and many other African countries. With Rwanda, we will establish contact with the very heart of Africa. Africa is currently the apple of Turkey's eye.”
“We are a model example for Rwanda”
OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Regional Manager Adem Arıcı briefed Ambassador Mironko and his delegation on the structure, institutions, and organizations of the region. Arıcı stated, “OSTİM is a development design with its cooperation institutions, clustering, university, and technopark. We are a model for the development of Rwanda. We can establish the same OSTİM model in Rwanda. We can cooperate with OSTİM Technopark in technology development processes. We are also ready to cooperate with OSTİM Technical University and our other educational institutions in vocational and technical education.”
During the program, the coordinators of the Business and Construction Machinery Cluster (İŞİM), OSTİM Defense and Aerospace Cluster (OSSA), OSTİM Medical Industry Cluster, OSTİM Renewable Energy and Environmental Technology Cluster (ENERJİK), Anatolian Rail Transportation Systems Cluster (ARUS), OSTİM Rubber Technologies Cluster, and Communication Technologies Cluster presented Ambassador Mironko with information on potential areas of cooperation.

Expressing his satisfaction with the attention he received in OSTİM, the Rwandan Ambassador to Ankara, Fidelis Ntampaka Mironko, voiced his desire for strong cooperation on the Organized Industrial Zone model.
The Ambassador noted that they wished to cooperate on many issues, particularly in production and vocational training, and said, "We will contact you to discuss cooperation."
Following the program at the OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Directorate, Fidelis Ntampaka Mironko also met with the Rector of OSTİM Technical University, Prof. Dr. Murat Yülek.
