The OSTİM ecosystem, with its organized industrial zones, universities, clusters, and technoparks, will work to meet the production, service, integration, and supply needs of the aviation sector in line with the needs and demands of the Turkish Airlines aviation ecosystem, with the aim of localization.

The protocol, signed in OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone, was signed by Orhan Aydın, Chairman of the Board of Directors of OSTİM, on behalf of OSTİM and the Clusters; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdullah Cahit Karaoğlanlı, on behalf of the Vice Presidency of Aviation Ecosystem Development of Turkish Airlines; Ayşe Saraçoğlu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Business and Construction Machinery Cluster (İŞİM); and Prof. Dr. Demiral Akbar, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, on behalf of OSTİM Technical University.

“OSTİM Solution Center”

Orhan Aydın, Chairman of the OSTİM Board of Directors and the OSTİM Technical University Board of Trustees, said, "We will work tirelessly to ensure that all machinery, parts, and equipment to be localized for Turkish Airlines are produced in collaboration with the OSTİM ecosystem."

Aydın stated that OSTİM is ready to contribute to every effort made, and added: “There are no problems that cannot be solved in OSTİM. This is a solution center, this is a talent pool, and our country needs this. But knowing which company has which capability requires experience and expertise. Our cluster managers are familiar with the capabilities and competencies of their companies. They will provide all possible contributions to localization efforts in our clusters.”

“We feel stronger with the OSTİM family”

Turkish Airlines (THY) Aviation Ecosystem Development Vice President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdullah Cahit Karaoğlanlı, recalling President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's statement, "We will not consent to the procurement of products from abroad that we can produce ourselves," said, "We will never abandon our resolute stance on national and domestic production."

Karaoğlanlı noted that they are continuing their work at full speed with the support given by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Turkish Airlines Inc., Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat, in the development of the aviation ecosystem, and drew attention to the strength of OSTİM, saying, “I know that there is a large OSTİM family here that possesses technological infrastructure, quality production, qualified human resources, and above all, sincerity and dedication. We are working with determination and effort at Turkish Airlines. There is much work to be done. I think that we will start with one project and that more will follow. It is a very beneficial step that will add value to the development of our country, and I believe that it will yield fruitful results, God willing. I would like to express my gratitude to Prof. Dr. Metin Yerebakan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Teknopark Istanbul, Halil Tokel, General Manager Advisor of TUSAŞ, and Orhan Aydın, Chairman of the Board of Directors of OSTİM, who have selflessly supported all our work and dedicated their lives to contributing to the national and domestic production processes of our country.”
