Meeting with Orhan Aydın, Chairman of the Board of Directors of OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone, Yunus stated that they wanted to develop collaborations between Malaysia and OSTİM, saying, “We are working to help Turkish firms explore business opportunities in Malaysia and the region. I am aware that there is significant potential between the two countries and that relations can be developed; I will help companies get to know Malaysia better.”
OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Chairman Orhan Aydın reminded that Malaysia is an important member of the Developing Eight (D-8) organization. Aydın stated that OSTİM wants to cooperate with an industrial zone, a university, and a technopark in Malaysia, adding, “These should be interfaces to improve our relations. We are ready with our team to develop our relations with Malaysia. We have added Far Eastern countries, primarily Malaysia and Indonesia, to the programs of our clusters. MIDA Director Yunus also has important roles to play in developing these relations.”
During the program, Esma Akyüz, OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Foreign Trade Coordinator, provided information about OSTİM's activities and ongoing projects.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Halil Tokel, Board Member of TCI Aircraft Interiors, and managers from the OSTİM Cluster.
