Supporting the development of the TRNC with the OSTİM model

Aydın, drawing attention to the fact that production in Cyprus can be developed through small and medium-sized industrial facilities, said, “Organized Industrial Zones are Turkey's most successful development model. We are ready to support the development of the TRNC with our OSTİM model in terms of developing small and medium-sized industries. We can apply the OSTİM model in attracting investors to Cyprus and developing sectors that will provide employment.”
“We need to find ways to produce.”
Ismet Korukoğlu, the Ambassador of the TRNC to Ankara, said that they would be pleased to cooperate with OSTİM.
Stating that the country's economy is based on the service sector, Korukoğlu noted: “We saw how important production is during the pandemic. Our country's economy is based on tourism and education. We need to find ways to produce. We shouldn't be an economy solely dependent on the service sector. Work is underway to utilize water from Turkey in agriculture as well.”
OSTİM Chairman Orhan Aydın and his delegation visited the Ankara Representative Office of the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Commerce (KTTO).
Burcu Kayan, the Ankara Representative of the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Commerce (KTTO), briefed the OSTİM delegation on the chamber's activities. Noting that KTTO has 4,500 members, Kayan said, "We welcome entrepreneurs and investors to Cyprus."
