The OSTİM Foundation Board of Trustees meeting was held in the OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Conference Hall.
At the meeting, Mehmet Zeki Sayın was unanimously elected as the Chairman of the Board, Mehmet Ali Bulut as the Vice-Chairman, and Serdar Marasalı as the vote counter.
“We are trying to realize Cevat Dündar’s dream”
Orhan Aydın, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the OSTİM Foundation, recalled the foundation's objectives. Remembering the late Cevat Dündar, the founder of OSTİM, and his colleagues with gratitude, Aydın stated: “We are striving to realize Cevat Dündar's dream. While writing the foundation charter with Mr. Mehmet Zeki Sayın, we worked to ensure that the work would be sustainable and passed on to future generations. We focused on education, which will improve the future of OSTİM residents and address the most significant shortcomings of our companies, thereby enhancing the quality of their human resources.”
At that time, we included the goal of establishing a technopark in our foundation charter; there was no other example like it in Turkey. Exciting work is being done at Ostim Technopark Inc., and if we also realize the expansion areas, we will become Ankara's most important technopark.
"God willing, we will be able to establish our university, which has been our main focus in recent years. This is not something that can be achieved through mathematics or calculations; God Almighty created such circumstances that we will reach the level of universities established in Ankara 20-30 years ago by next year. Starting the following year, 38 departments will be operational."
During the meeting, the Foundation Director, Gülnaz Karaosmanoğlu, then shared the activities of 2019 and 2020.
During the meeting, Abdullah Çörtü, General Manager of OSTİM Investment; Dr. Derya Çağlar, General Manager of OSTİM Technopark; Behzat Zeydan, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of OSTİM Project and Technology; Adem Arıcı, Regional Manager of OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone; and Prof. Dr. Murat Yülek, Rector of OSTİM Technical University, provided information to the board of trustees about the activities and work of their respective institutions.
The Supervisory Board report and the income and expenditure statement were read separately and opened for discussion. In the vote, the reports were unanimously approved.
In the voting, the following individuals were elected to the new board of directors of the OSTİM Foundation: Orhan Aydın, Sıtkı Öztuna, Mehmet Zeki Sayın, Behzat Zeydan, Gülnaz Karaosmanoğlu, Hamza Akca, and Recep Peker.
