The Board of Directors of the OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Industrialists, Businessmen and Managers Association (ORSİAD) visited the OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Management.

ORSİAD Board Chairman Nedret Yener said, “On this sad day, when the coup attempt on the evening of July 15 deeply affected all of us, our greatest consolation has been the unprecedented strength of our unity and solidarity.”

OSTİM Chairman Orhan Aydın stated that thanks to the President's prudent stance, the unity of the people, the support given by the opposition to uphold democracy, and the careful approach of the press, this crisis was overcome without suffering much more serious damage.

ORSİAD's new management began its contacts in the OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone. President Nedret Yener and the accompanying Board of Directors and Supervisory Board members met with the OSTİM Board of Directors.

“We must overcome these days together”

President Nedret Yener shared her views on the new period during the visit; she stated that they would do great things together. Making statements regarding the coup attempt against the national will, Yener emphasized that the business world has important responsibilities during this process.

Yener said, “Our nation, acting with a sense of unity and solidarity during this process, prevented our secular democratic Republic from being overthrown. From now on, we must adopt an inclusive stance, far removed from self-serving interests. On this occasion, I pray to God for mercy for those who were martyred in the struggle for democracy, and I offer my condolences to our wounded. I hope our country will return to its rightful agenda as soon as possible; our agenda should be industry and production. To achieve this, we must overcome these days together.”

“It’s time to stand by the state and the nation”

OSTİM Board Chairman Orhan Aydın pointed out the importance of civil society organizations for OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone. Wishing the new management success, Aydın said, “May God make it a means for beneficial services. I congratulate you all. Our other colleagues also provided excellent services. This is a relay race. We hope for a more developed ORSİAD with many members.”

Aydın, commenting on the July 15 coup attempt, explained that the people showed great resistance. Orhan Aydın stated: “Thanks to our President's prudent stance, the unity of our people, the support given by the opposition to uphold democracy, and the careful attitude of the press, we overcame this ordeal without suffering much more serious wounds. We must continue to be vigilant. We are a country with a long history of coups. We must protect our democracy. We must know the value of this country very well and navigate this process with a very intelligent and insightful attitude. Now is the time to stand with the state and the nation. Today, each of us is not on the side of any political view, party, or group, but on the side of our democracy. For this, we must wage our struggle for good to the end. We must protect our democracy. We overcame these challenges with the courage we inherited from Atatürk. We still carry that spirit.”

“We must produce more”

Underlining that Turkey is currently making history, President Aydın said that we are once again embracing and supporting each other. Aydın continued: “We need to stand by our State, our Nation, and our Government, and continue as one body without any dissenting voices. As industrialists, in times like these, we must focus more on our work, produce more, and grow together with our technology. I have great confidence in our companies, especially those in OSTİM. Our industrialists here will succeed. May our nation mourn this loss.”
