Ahmet Erdem, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, stated that the number of incentive programs has increased to 12, and that they aim to create 2 million jobs by the end of the year as part of the mobilization effort, saying, "Let production increase, let industry not stop, let workers earn, let everyone win, let the country win."
Undersecretary Erdem met with the OSTİM Board of Directors and received information about the work and employment activities in the OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone.
“OSTİM companies have become institutionalized”
OSTİM Deputy Chairman of the Board Sıtkı Öztuna, recalling that they launched the employment office in the region in 1997, stated that they created an interface that brings together job seekers and employers. Öztuna said, “We support the mobilization initiated by our President. With our private employment agency approved by İŞKUR (Turkish Employment Agency), we bring together those seeking jobs and those seeking employees. OSTİM companies have become institutionalized.”
“760,000 Jobs Created in 3 Months”
Ahmet Erdem, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, stated that with the Employment Mobilization initiated by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the Ministry has declared a National Mobilization in the field of labor. Erdem reported that within this scope, they visited all 81 provinces in 3 months, met with the heads of chambers of commerce and industry, stock exchanges, and NGOs to gather their opinions on what needs to be done in the field of labor, and implemented the necessary regulations.
Erdem, mentioning the incentives provided by the ministry and sharing the employment figures achieved through the mobilization, stated, “The number of our incentive programs has increased to 12. 760,000 jobs were created in 3 months. Our target is 2 million by the end of the year. We will increase employment and prevent informal employment.”
Ahmet Erdem emphasized that they brought together all the actors in working life, saying, “We are discussing the problems seen in working life with our Minister. Let production increase, let industry not stop, let workers earn, let everyone win, let the country win. There are points where we need to support industrialists.”
