Established on March 1, 1974, with the production of shielded welding electrodes, our company began producing gas shielded welding wires in the early 1980s. In 1992, Kaynak Tekniği Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. became the distributor in Turkey for welding machines manufactured by The Lincoln Electric Company, headquartered in Cleveland, USA. On May 5, 1998, the company transformed its relationship with The Lincoln Electric Company into an equal-share partnership, taking a significant step towards expansion into European, Russian, African, and Middle Eastern markets and increasing exports to these regions.

The Lincoln Electric Company, the organization's foreign partner, is a world leader in a wide range of products, including welding consumables, welding machines, welding generators, automation and robotics systems, and plasma cutting machines. With partnerships in 21 countries and sales offices in 160 countries worldwide, The Lincoln Electric Company operates across a vast geographical area.

Due to evolving market conditions and rapidly increasing sales volume, the factory, which had been operating in the Kartal district of Istanbul since 1974, moved to a new and modern production facility in Kocaeli in mid-2007. The headquarters and production facility are located within the Şekerpınar Municipality of Çayırova district in Kocaeli, covering a total area of 40,000 m², with 22,000 m² of covered space.

Kaynak Tekniği Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., operating in the welding sector since 1974, has a production capacity of 40,000 tons/year of coated electrodes, 30,000 tons/year of gas shielded welding wire, 5,000 tons/year of submerged arc welding wire, and 1,500 tons/year of TIG welding wire. It serves its customers through 4 sales offices located in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, and Adana, nearly 800 dealers spread across a wide area nationwide, and approximately 500 employees.

Askaynak brand welding electrodes and wires, manufactured by Kaynak Tekniği Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., are widely used in the welded metal fabrication industry, while Kobatek brand products and wear plates, backed by 35 years of experience, are specifically developed for repair-maintenance and preventive-maintenance welding applications. Kaynak Tekniği Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. also continues the sales of Lincoln Electric brand products (welding consumables, welding machines, automation systems, etc.), manufactured by its partner The Lincoln Electric Company, throughout Turkey. Askaynak brand welding machines and CleanArc brand fume extraction systems constitute another important product group sold by our company. In addition to welding equipment and consumables, Askaynak brand abrasives and Harris and Askaynak by Harris brand gas equipment are among the important products that Kaynak Tekniği Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. has been selling since 2011.

Our company, which acquired SYS-RT in 2014 – a company specializing in robot and automation solutions for numerous sectors including the automotive, defense, construction, machinery manufacturing, and iron and steel industries, as well as the installation of robotic automation systems and the design of molds, fixtures, control gauges, and special-purpose tools – has begun serving the industry in the field of automation and robot technologies under the name "Askaynak Automation." Kaynak Tekniği Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. has also been the distributor of Hitachi Power Tools in Türkiye since 2014.

Kaynak Tekniği Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. is increasing its export capacity year by year and, in parallel with this rapid growth in exports, is selling to more than 50 countries. In 1995, Kaynak Tekniği Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. became the first welding company in Turkey to receive the "ISO 9001 Quality Assurance System Certificate." In addition to Lloyd's certificates from internationally reputable organizations such as the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Bureau Veritas (BV), Lloyd's Register of Shipping (LRS), Germanischer Lloyd (GL), Det Norske Veritas (DNV), Türk Loydu (TL), Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RMRS), and Registro Italiano Navale (RINA), the company also holds numerous certificates from various foreign certification bodies, including TSE, TÜV, DB, GOST, NAKS, and SEPRO. Kaynak Tekniği Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. was also the first welding company in Turkey to be awarded the "CE Certificate."

In 1999, our organization won the TÜSİAD-Kalder Quality Grand Award in the small and medium-sized enterprises category, thus having the opportunity to once again document and announce its strong position in the resource market to the entire country.
