Kerevitaş Food Industry, the first company in the retail frozen food sector in Turkey, was founded in 1970 in Akçalar district of Bursa. Initially engaged in the export of live crayfish to Scandinavian countries, Kerevitaş began producing and exporting frozen fruits and vegetables in 1980 in response to requests from these countries.

In 1990, Kerevitaş became the first company to enter the Turkish retail market with its SuperFresh brand, offering fruits, vegetables, seafood, and pizza varieties, introducing Turkish consumers to the concept of "frozen products," which was highly innovative at the time. Within a few years, Kerevitaş added the first frozen puff pastry and börek varieties to its product range. Today, with a total of 128 products under the SuperFresh brand in its retail channel, Kerevitaş is the company with the richest product range in the frozen food market.

In 1993, Kerevitaş expanded its product range by introducing canned tuna to the market, and in 1994, it took its place on the shelves with the ‘first canned corn’. Subsequently, it enriched its product range with canned agricultural products and ready-to-eat meals. Its innovative approach in the sector, and its emphasis on quality and hygiene, made Kerevitaş and its brand SuperFresh a generic brand in the sector. In other words, Turkish consumers tasted many products, from frozen vegetables to pizza, from puff pastry to canned corn, for the first time with the SuperFresh brand.

Kerevitaş, with nearly 400 products in total across its mass consumption and retail channels, meticulously handles every stage of production, from raw material selection to reaching the end consumer. Through its world-class production, Kerevitaş is one of the companies to have earned BRC (British Retail Consortium), ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System, and ISO 9001 Quality Management System certifications. Having successfully passed audits by the AIB (American Institute of Baking), Kerevitaş has also proven its commitment to world-class Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Today, Kerevitaş operates a factory in Akçalar, Bursa, covering 220,000 m² with 62,000 m² of covered space, producing goods using modern technology across five main sectors (vegetables and fruits, potatoes, baked goods, tuna, and seafood). Frozen products, stored in -18°C warehouses, are distributed using over 200 vehicles, and approximately 25,000 refrigerated display cases in stores serve both wholesale and retail markets. Headquartered in Istanbul, the company has been a publicly traded company since 1995.

Kerevitaş's SuperFresh brand products reach consumers domestically through its Regional Directorates in Istanbul (Europe/Asia), Ankara, Izmir, Bursa, Adana, and Antalya, as well as through 50 dealerships affiliated with these regions. Many products from Kerevitaş's wide product range are exported to a total of 25 countries, primarily in Europe, the Middle East, and America.
