It is a widely used material in the machinery industry. It is a relatively hard, rigid, slippery material with good mechanical strength values. It has various usage areas from gear applications to wheel construction.

However, it is not as hard and wear-resistant as Kestamide, and not as slippery as Pom C. Its chemical resistance is moderate, it has resistance to some acids and bases. Polyamide 6 has a water collection feature. These features have good and bad sides. Its good aspect increases the resistance of the part against vibration and sudden impacts.

Thus, it allows the dynamic stresses that will occur on the basis of use of the part to be eliminated in the body. The downside is that it becomes difficult to achieve dimensional stability in the material. In other words, the material undergoes dimension changes by being affected even by the humidity in the air.

It is used in the manufacture of simple gears, bearings, bolts, flanges, pulley belt pulleys, cutting plate, filter plate, workbench table and all kinds of parts.
