Copper is resistant to marine and industrial atmospheres. Against dry gases, fresh water and sea water, pure steam, various soils, non-oxidizing acids, many organic acids, alkali solutions (except ammonium compounds and cyanide), salt solutions such as sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium phosphates and nitrates, and many foodstuffs. it is durable, the silver ones in it are a little better. They are effective in high flow sea water from coppers, oxidizing acids, salts, moist ammonia and halogen gases to sulfites, liquid tin, zinc, antimony, bismuth and lead.
