Wall Mounted Condensing Boiler and Cascade Systems

Wall Mounted Condensing Boiler And Cascade Systems

Today, energy economy has gained increasing importance in central heating systems. With the new regulations and standards across Europe and Turkey, consumers are made aware of using more efficient systems.

Cascade systems offer flexible central heating solutions that can technically respond to all kinds of heating needs. In addition to capacity, flexibility and control options in the design of the system, energy economy is one of the important focal points of such systems.

Wall mounted condensing boilers reach 110% efficiency. Thanks to the special internal structure of the heat exchanger pipes, high heat transfer is realized and 98kW capacity is provided in small sizes. While the helical internal structure of the heat exchanger turns the flow of water into turbulence, increasing the amount of heat transfer in the heat exchanger, calcitization is also significantly reduced thanks to this type of flow. The heat exchanger pipes are surrounded by 15 mm deep fins to increase the heat transfer surface from the combustion chamber to the heat exchanger.

Al-Si heat exchanger alloy can easily compensate for rapid temperature rise and temperature fluctuations thanks to its very good heat conduction, and allows the condensed water to be more neutral.

The plasma polymerization coating on the heat exchanger has high chemical resistance. By forming a protective layer, the formation of aluminum oxides on the heat exchanger surface is prevented. In this way, both the life of the device and the maintenance intervals are extended. In addition, maintenance can be done easily and quickly. The heat exchanger can be cleaned only with water. Since it is possible to access all the components inside the boiler from the front, repair and maintenance are also facilitated.

Modulating pump control can be done via the boiler control panel. In this case, the pump flow rate is reduced with the decreasing capacity of the boiler. This prevents the return temperature from rising during operation with the hydraulic balance tank. As a result, fuel and electricity consumption is reduced by operating with a flow rate suitable for the capacity.

Compared to conventional systems, chimney losses are also low thanks to very low flue gas temperatures. E.g; While flue gas temperatures in conventional boilers are in the range of 160°C at full load and 80/60°C operation, this value drops to 75°C in wall-mounted condensing boilers.

The small footprint of cascade systems provides an advantage in boiler rooms with space problems, as the boilers can be mounted back to back and side by side on a wall or a hanger. Boilers are easy to transport, install and maintain due to their small dimensions and low weight.

When a floor type boiler is selected in a central boiler room, a boiler group with a capacity higher than the calculated boiler capacity is selected in order to back up. In cascade systems, there is no need for extra capacity as each boiler backs up other boilers in the system. In case of any boiler malfunction, for example; The problem can be resolved by temporarily disconnecting 100 kW of the 1,000 kW total capacity from the system. In this way, a significant reduction in the initial investment cost can be achieved.

Cascade control panels operate the boilers in the cascade system with the logic of aging equally. Accordingly, when every 100 burner operating hours are completed, the order of activation of the boilers in the system is changed. When compared in terms of installation and project design of the boilers, the safety equipment required to be used in floor-standing boilers is not required in wall-mounted cascade systems, thus providing an advantage in terms of cost. With the control panel, each heating circuit can operate with the effect of room temperature, depending on the outside temperature. Heating curves that determine the boiler leaving water temperature depending on the outside air temperature are drawn with the control panel and the system works according to these curves. With this feature, more heat than needed is prevented from being produced. In the system, precise control of the desired room temperature and modulation of the boiler and fuel savings are possible. Pump and three-way van controls of each mixed or unmixed heating circuit are provided by separate modules. It is possible to operate the domestic water, the boiler for its heating or the heat exchanger-storage tank. In systems with domestic water heating, comfort operation can be set with domestic water priority or partial priority.
