The transformation of organic substances in wastewater, which will be considered as pollutants if they are released to the environment, are broken down by microorganisms and converted into water, carbon dioxide and new microorganism cells is called "biological treatment".
Microorganisms that perform the biological purification process are born, feed, breathe, reproduce and die just like other living things. If the necessary conditions for microorganisms are met, these creatures can reproduce very quickly. These conditions are oxygen and nutrients necessary for all living things. The oxygen requirement for microorganisms is met by using mechanical equipment (blower, etc.) that transmits the outside air to the water.
Biological treatment systems can be made as packages or reinforced concrete depending on the wastewater flow. Package treatment systems are mostly preferred in cases where the wastewater flow rate is low. Reinforced concrete systems are more suitable to be used in cases where the wastewater flow rate is high.
Biological reinforced concrete plants are mostly used in places where the wastewater flow rate is high. It can be built underground or above ground upon request. The facilities, the architectural project of which is designed by TT Treatment in the most appropriate way to the site conditions, are put into use after the construction works are completed, and the equipment is assembled. It is economical in terms of operation and maintenance costs.
Reinforced concrete treatment systems are long-lasting and are not portable like package treatment systems. Reinforced concrete systems, which are not very suitable in terms of flow increases, and if it is foreseen that there will be a flow increase in the future, the system is designed with a backup while the facility is designed and the pool constructions are made accordingly. When the flow is to be increased, the equipment can be installed in the spare part and the facility can be put into use.
