Insurance Services

All shipments transported by Ege Transportation are automatically covered by insurance and no fee is charged for this service.

Ege Transportation provides insurance coverage for the shipments it receives from its customers in proportion to the invoice amount.

Your obligations

In order for our customers to fully benefit from insurance transactions, they must fulfill their responsibilities. Full and complete implementation of the procedures will be in the interest of both parties, since incomplete transactions in the receipt or delivery of the shipment may cause undesired events between our company and our customers.

In order to take full advantage of the insurance process, you must obtain a document (1st copy of the warehouse receipt slip) when delivering your shipments. Along with the shipment, the invoice and the waybill stating the value of the goods must also be delivered to the person receiving the shipment. Before receiving the shipment, the buyer must absolutely check whether there is any defect, damage or loss in the shipment. In case of any deficiency, damage or loss, the Buyer and Ege Transportation courier must keep a written report and both parties must sign before the shipment is received. In cases where the necessary controls are not made, our company will not be responsible for the received shipments.

Our obligations

After the shipments determined to be damaged, broken or missing at the time of delivery are determined by the buyer and Ege Transportation authorities, and this situation is recorded in a written report, Ege Transportation compensates the damage caused by the forms and methods required by the insurance procedures. The sender is obliged to submit the documents and notifications required by the insurance procedures. Otherwise, the amount of compensation is limited to the transportation fee in any case.
Payments are made to our customers within 30 days after the necessary determinations are made in the case of losses and damages that occur within the Aegean Transportation system for any reason. In line with the request of our customers, this amount can also be deducted from the shipping invoices.

Not Responsible!

Ege İletişim is not responsible in any way for the loss, damage, delay or wrong delivery of all or part of your shipment due to the following reasons:

  1. Natural disasters such as earthquake, meteor, storm, flood, fire, disease, fog, snow and frost
  2. Forceful causes such as war, accident, social upheaval, strike, embargo, local and civil unrest
  3. National or local blocking at the time of air or land transport
  4. Mechanical problems in the transport process or machines
  5. Potential defects and self-existing defects in the content of the shipment.
  6. Violation of the obligations specified under the heading 'Liabilities' by the customer
  7. The presence of a prohibited substance in the shipment, even if it was accepted by mistake
  8. Problems arising from customers' incorrect address coding
