Drum type separators are multi-purpose. Depending on the place of use, they are mounted in front of the on-band feeder for the purpose of cleaning the ferrometals mixed into the material later, and they are usually made of ferrite magnets.

They are used for pre-separation purposes in the mining industry. Drum type separators can be adjusted in the form of ½ magnetic 2/3 magnetic in the separation process in micronized raw material with the magnetic field direction adjustment apparatus inside the drum.
