OSGB

The Joint Health and Safety unit is a ministry-authorized unit with the necessary personnel and equipment established to provide occupational health and safety services to workplaces such as public institutions and organizations, organized industrial zones, companies operating in accordance with the Turkish commercial law.

In order to establish OSGB and provide services, at least one working with a full-time employment contract;

A: Occupational Physician,

B: Occupational safety specialist

A: Other health personnel,

Employment is mandatory.

OSGBs, in order to contribute to the creation of a healthy and safe working environment in their workplaces;

1- Giving guidance to the employer on the monitoring of the working environment, including all kinds of protective, preventive and corrective actions to be carried out against health and safety risks in the workplace, and preparing and submitting suggestions for approval.

2- Implementation of health surveillance to protect and improve the health of employees.

3- By making a plan about the occupational health and safety training and informing of the employees and submitting them to the employer's approval.

4- Determining the accident, fire, natural disaster and similar situations that require emergency intervention in the workplace, preparing the emergency plan, organizing the necessary practices in terms of first aid and emergency response, and cooperating with other units, institutions and organizations.

5- From the annual work plan, annual evaluation report, surveillance of the working environment, health surveillance of the employees, work accident and occupational disease, occupational health and safety information and recording the results of the work.

6- The work carried out by the employees, the results of the risk assessment and examination results in the workplace, the records of occupational accidents and occupational diseases are kept in the personal health files of the workplace, in compliance with the principle of confidentiality.

7- They are responsible for monitoring whether the duties specified in the areas they serve are fulfilled within the scope of the regulation on the duties, authorities, responsibilities and training of workplace physicians and other health personnel, and the regulation on the duties, authorities, responsibilities and training of occupational safety specialists.
