TC-10 Cementometer™ Type R Full System For Normal Water-Cement Ratio Ranges/TC-20 Cementometer™ Type L Full System For Low Water-Cement Ratio Ranges

Description: The James Cementometer™ represents a breakthrough in modern moisture measurement technology. Using the latest in microwave and microprocessor science, the Cementometer™ can determine the moisture content of fresh cement, concrete and mortar. Place the probe's tabs on the material to be measured and the Water-Cement ratio will be immediately displayed on the easy-to-read display. The Cementometer™ Microwave Moisture Meter uses a two-claw sensor to measure the complex dielectric constant of the material in contact with the nails. Since the dielectric constant of water is four to eight times greater than most aggregates and cement, changes in water content directly affect the sensor output. An average of five to ten readings are normally taken to ensure a valid reading. This output is then converted by the integrated microprocessor and the moisture content can be directly displayed. There are two devices that determine the entire Water-Cement ratio in wet concrete. The Cementometer™ Type R determines normal Water-Cement ratios with its two-prong probe. The range of this device is about 0.35 to 0.65 Water-Cement. The Cementometer™ Type L determines low Water-Cement ratios with its five-prong probe. The range of this device is about 0.25 to 0.4 Water-Cement. The instruments come calibrated for Standard Types I, II and III Cements. In addition, up to ten different mix designs can be programmed by the user. For highest accuracy, the user must program the unit for the material used. Cementometer™ Type R features an easy-to-use calibration process that quickly creates user programs without the need for an external computer. Finally, Cementometer™ can store more than 150 values. Storage is performed by entering the time and date as it may be needed in the future. Data can be transferred via USB to a computer running the James Cementometer™ software.
