Base Layers

1- Plants
If applied within a system, plant species that can survive for years without deterioration and give the structure special characters in harmony with the climatic characteristics of the region have been obtained as a result of experiments carried out by research institutes specialized in this field, and they are used in roof greening.

2- Plant carrier layer
Infrastructures created with special materials such as Zincolit and Zinco-system soils meet all the nutritional needs of the selected plant, and keep the plants alive and beautiful by renewing themselves for many years.

3- Filter and drainage layer
Rain water coming from the upper layers and filtered by a filter layer should be stored for days without rain, but if the accumulation is excessive, it should be drained and disposed of in order to prevent the plants from rotting. 4- Protective and moisture-retaining layer against mechanical effects
Rot-resistant special felts protect root holder layers and waterproofing layers against mechanical effects. Zinco protective layers have the pressure strength required by the norms and the quality certificates given by the authorized institutions in this regard.

5- Root holding layer
Damage to the waterproofing layers of the plant roots must be prevented. For this purpose, either special root holder layers or waterproofing that protects itself against roots are used.

6- Waterproofing and roof construction
The most important prerequisite for roof greening is the existence of good waterproofing and a solid roof construction with sufficient load bearing. If the materials used in waterproofing are resistant to the roots of the plants, there is no need for a root holder layer.
