One of the stops in Ankara of the Uzbekistan Exporters Union, which organizes a cooperation and visit program to Turkey under the coordination of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), was OSTİM.

The delegation, consisting of 15 businessmen who are members of the Uzbekistan Exporters Union, received information about the OSTIM model and business associations. 

OSTIM is a regional development model

OSTİM OIZ Regional Director Adem Arıcı talked about the establishment and development processes of the region and the works he carries out today. Arıcı emphasized that as the Regional Directorate, more than 6,200 businesses operating in the region provide the services they need from the public.

Stating that OSTİM companies operate in 17 main sectors and 139 business lines, Adem Arıcı said that there are 7 sectoral clusters in the fields of business and construction machinery, defense and aviation, medical sector, renewable energy, rail transportation systems, rubber technologies, and communication.

Pointing out that there are all organizations supporting industry and production in OSTİM, Arıcı noted that the first industrial university in the world is OSTİM Technical University, which was established in the region. "OSTIM is a regional development model." he said.

Regional Director Adem Arıcı, who stated that the OSTİM model was demanded by many countries, expressed that there was a demand to establish an industrial zone of 230 hectares with the OSTİM model near Tashkent in Uzbekistan.

”I'm ready to devote my life to the OSTIM model"

Uzbekistan Exporters Union President Muhtor Umarov noted that President Şevket Mirziyoyev and the government want to implement Turkey's successful industrialization models and policies in their countries in terms of industrialization and economic policies.

Expressing that he found the OSTİM model very successful and was very impressed, Muhtor Umarov said, “I am ready to devote my life to the realization of the OSTİM model in Uzbekistan. I will personally tell the president about OSTİM. I'll talk to our prime minister about all the details. We are ready for all kinds of support for the cooperation of our Turkish and Uzbek businessmen. There is a very strong demand for the OSTIM model in Uzbekistan."
