Belarusian Ambassador Viktor Rybak visited OSTİM. Meeting with OSTİM Chairman of the Board Orhan Aydın, OSTİM Yatırım A.Ş. General Manager Abdullah Çörtü, and Business and Construction Machinery Cluster (İŞİM) International Project Specialist Esma Akyüz, the Ambassador expressed that they see OSTİM as the industrial heart of Turkey.

Viktor Rybak explained that Belaz brand mining trucks produced in his country have 30 percent of the world market in the sector and that the company produces trucks from 30 tons to 450 tons.

Expressing that he believes that these trucks will also be in demand in the Turkish market, Rybak said that they aim to establish a sustainable trade between the two countries and that they want to hear the thoughts of OSTIM on the issue.

Ambassador Rybak stated: "I believe that the viability of this project will be very high. I think it is a very important project, especially for the Turkish economy."

OSTİM Chairman of the Board Orhan Aydın emphasized that OSTİM is an important area for Turkey and the world in the engineering and construction machinery and mining machinery sector. Drawing attention to the importance of the relations between the two countries, Aydın said, “We also desire cooperation with Belarus; we think that we will get very good results if we reach our goal. We can develop cooperation between OSTİM Technical University and higher education institutions of Belarus and the private sector.” said.

About 10 thousand spare parts exported to 50 countries

Abdullah Çörtü, General Manager of OSTİM Yatırım, explained that a lot of work has been done in the field of engineering and construction machinery in the region. Noting that İŞİM has over 140 members from spare parts to machinery production, Çörtü said, “It is a great advantage to have such a power behind us. On the one hand, we are interested in the mining sector, and Belaz trucks appeal to the mining sector."

Abdullah Çörtü, who stated that they also carry out foreign trade activities in the engineering and construction machinery sector, said, “We have İŞİM members manufacture nearly 10 thousand spare parts and export them to 50 countries. If we bring together the need and production and produce a healthy solution, we can get a successful result. He added by voicing his proposal: "We can develop our mutual trade on the trade highway that we will establish between Belarus and Turkey.”
