Instead of incurring the cost of a separate antenna and receiver for each user, it is much more economical to collect the incoming broadcasts in a central unit and present them to the users. Central satellite systems can be grouped under 2 main headings as Headent and Receiver systems.

Headent

In these systems, there is no receiver at the location of the users. Satellite signals are collected in the center and the receiver is kept in this unit as much as the number of channels to be watched. Cables are drawn from the center to the places where the users are and assignments are made to the television channels. In this way, service is provided to users in a more economical way. The number of channels that can be watched is limited by the central system. During the installation, it is decided which channels to watch. Channels are changed over the television.
