Tires filled with compressed air are filled with oxygen, nitrogen and other gases, as well as water molecules. This causes corrosion in the tire over time.

Since nitrogen gas does not carry water molecules, it does not cause corrosion in the tire. In addition, the nitrogen atoms make it more difficult for the air to escape from the tires than the oxygen atoms. For this reason, a tire filled with compressed air loses pressure (deflates) approximately 3 times faster than a tire filled with nitrogen.

Pressure lower than the recommended value in tires negatively affects both driving safety and fuel performance. For this reason, as Kirazlar, we recommend filling nitrogen instead of compressed air when inflating your tires.
