It is used in ventilation systems to prevent the spread of flame and smoke through air ducts during a fire and to prevent the fire from being fueled. It is designed in two types as 72 °C fuse or motor and sensitive element. In case of fire, the sensor automatically activates the engine or the spring mechanism of the melting ring and the damper connected to the engine or the spring mechanism closes, preventing the passage of fire to other places. Fire Dampers can be mounted directly to the air ducts or to the wall passages of the ducts, in front of or outside the wall. Fire Damper is manufactured from 1.5 mm galvanized sheet metal and galvanized sheet with rockwool insulation in different sizes according to the project dimensions. The fire permeability tests of the Fire Dampers were carried out within the framework stipulated by the TS-EN 1363-1 standard. It has been documented that the Fire Damper, which was subjected to combustion at 900 °C, did not deteriorate in its integrity and function until the 60th minute.
