Yüksek İşler is based on IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association) standards in all rope access projects and training programs.

 

Within the scope of “Regulation on Occupational Health and Safety in Construction Works” published in the Official Gazette dated 5 October 2013 and numbered 28786, instructions regarding Working at Height have also been determined.

 

This Regulation has been prepared on the basis of Article 30 of the Occupational Health and Safety Law dated 20/6/2012 and numbered 6331, and in parallel with the Council Directive of the European Union dated 24/6/1992 and numbered 92/57/EEC. Employees are obliged to receive “Working at Height Training”.

All of the trainings are given by technician trainers with IRATA Level 2 and Level 3 certificates within the body of Yüksek İşler, in accordance with the structure of the work done at height, both in the field of the company to be determined by the company and in the "Working at Height Training Platform" of our company.

With the Work at Height Training, employees learn the methods of working at height and minimize the risks that may arise from jobs that require working at height. These trainings are especially; It is given before starting work, in case of a change in workplace or job, in case of change of work equipment or in case of application of new technology. The trainings are renewed in accordance with the changing and emerging risks, and are repeated when necessary and at regular intervals.

In our country, a significant number of occupational accidents occur, especially in the construction sector. Most of these accidents occur in the form of falling from a height. However, not only those working in construction, but also an electrician who changes light bulbs using a ladder, must take this training.

What is the Definition of Working at Height?

In the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation in Construction Works, “working in any area where there is a level difference and where the possibility of injury may occur as a result of falling; height is defined as “working at height”, any level where the possibility of injury is valid regardless of height.

Places where a person cannot step out are considered high. On the other hand, working at height is the type of work performed above the reference level where the person is located, in a situation that may pose a health and safety hazard. The risk of falling from a height is the risk that someone will be injured by falling due to a difference in level. The concept of height is relative and varies from person to person. The balance point of a person is the 2nd lumbar vertebra. In the literature, places that exceed the waist level are generally considered high. If you encounter an object taller than shoulder or eye level, it will be high for you. Places taller than the average person's height are high places, and working in such places is work at height. Although it differs from one country to another, those working at heights of 120 cm or more should be protected.

Legal basis of education:

According to the 17th article of the Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331 and the 5th article of the Regulation on the Procedures and Principles of Occupational Health and Safety Training of Employees, which came into force after being published in the Official Gazette dated 15.05.2013 and numbered 28648; Employers are obliged to ensure that their employees receive occupational health and safety training. In addition, this training is obligatory in accordance with the occupational health and safety regulation in construction works numbered 25786 and the regulation on the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in workplaces numbered 28695.

ANKARA UZMAN provides Work at Height Training with authorized trainers from an institution accredited in accordance with legal regulations. After the training, a Training Participation Certificate will be issued to the participants.
