WHAT IS THERMAL INSULATION?

The processes taken to reduce the heat losses in the winter months and the heat gains in the summer months are called “heat insulation”. In order not to get cold in the winter, we heat our house by using fuels such as coal and natural gas; In summer, we cool our heated house with air conditioners. Thermal insulation is done in order to live in more comfortable environments by reducing the energy we spend to warm up in winter and cool down in summer. In this context, thermal insulation is applied to walls, roofs, floors, glass, joinery and installations facing outside or unheated parts of buildings such as garages and warehouses.
In other words, for the purpose of heating or cooling the building occupants by using less energy and thus reducing environmental pollution, prolonging the life of the building by protecting it from internal and external factors; The processes carried out to reduce the heat transfer between living spaces with different temperatures and their surroundings are called “heat insulation”.

BENEFITS OF THERMAL INSULATION:

  • By saving 50% on average from the expenses made for heating or cooling, it allows better heating in winter and staying cool in summer.
  • It contributes to the prevention of environmental pollution and global warming by reducing fuel consumption and therefore waste gas emissions.
  • With the efficiency it will provide, it reduces our country's dependence on foreign energy.
  • It prevents perspiration (condensation) that causes mold, black spots and fungus formation in homes.
  • It prevents the corrosion of the iron in the concrete and protects your building's resistance against earthquakes.
  • It creates comfortable and healthy spaces by creating balanced room temperatures in living spaces.

WHERE THERMAL INSULATION IS APPLIED:

Thermal insulation;

  1. Flat (terrace) and sloping roofs,
  2. Outward facing walls,
  3. dating soles,
  4. To the walls and floors in contact with the soil,
  5. Walls and floors facing unheated parts such as garages, warehouses,
  6. Floors separating floors in buildings heated by combi boilers,
  7. Plumbing pipes, ventilation ducts, valves etc. made to the plumbing elements.

In addition, by using special coated insulating glass units and insulated joinery, heat losses from windows are reduced in winter, and sunlight entry into the building is limited in summer without sacrificing daylight.
